Who Am I?
Hi everyone! I'm Mallory Murray and I am the creator of the Planet in Vogue blog that is sustainability within the fashion industry. I've fallen in love with the idea of fashion, styling, creating and storytelling since I was little, but as I grew up I learned there is more to fashion then just creating, but the stories you make along the way. I love telling stories with the clothing pieces I style that are creating a story that wasn't originally there before. The reason why I chose to create this blog is to represent fashion through the story of sustainability. I cannot wait to take you all along this sustainable journey though fashion and open your horizon more, since nothing is impossible nor limited (if you want to know more about who I am and what this blog is about check under the "about" tab above).
How would I describe myself in 5 words.
"Courageous"

I am "courageous," from always doing things that are out of my comfort zone. Whether its traveling to new places, not doing the norm, and adventurous for trying new things. I may be hesitant, but the courage I have inside of me has always lead me to my love of new things and exploring the unknown of new cities and creating the known for myself.
"Creative"

I am "creative," from thinking outside the box, expressing myself uniquely and bringing fresh ideas into the world. Whether its drawing, making colleges, trying no recipes for baking, etc. I literally stepped outside of my box for a class called Fashion Research Methods. Not only did I take a plan white long sleeve shirt, but I created it into some from embroider, paint, and sustainable dies from tea bags to cranberries. I did something I was terrified to begin, but at the end of the day I let all the creativity I had out onto the shirt from being visionary, expressive, imaginative and I have never been more proud.
"Biophile"

I am a "biophile," which stands for someone who has a deep love for nature and all living things. I absolutely love taking photos and embracing myself around nature whether its going on a walk, hike, taking photos, gardening, using herbs for natural remedies than medications, or bringing flowers into my own home. I think there is no better cure than what surrounds us outside with the vitamin C. AKA which is why I am so excited for this blog.
"Autumn"

I am an "autumn," someone who absolutely adores the fall and anything that has to do with it from the weather crisp and cool, a sweater is okay, but no jacket, the fashion, treats, pumpkin and apple picking, colors, leaves changing, pumpkin cold brews and everything feels at piece. I have been to New York so many times since I was six, but never went during the fall until last year and it completed everything I need. I sat in central park four hours near bow bridge just staring and embracing everything around me. As Richard Gilmore would say from Gilmore Girls, "I am an autumn."
"Bookworm"

I am a "bookworm," meaning I love reading and having a book on me at all times. I absolutely love reading romantic books and have an abundance of fashion magazines to keep me inspired (this isn't even all of my books and magazines, I have 3 larger piles in my room). Reading has never come easy to me, especially growing up I always had difficulty and would always need an extra teacher in the classroom or going to a different classroom to get help with answering questions after the readings and comprehending. Until I got to high school I met this teacher who became my favorite and would introduce me to so many different books knowing I would have to like at least one. After that class I have found such a new appreciation for reading and read as much as I can especially in the summer.

Love the clean design! Yes @ biophile. We need to appreciate the beauty around us more.

THIS WEBSITE IS AWESOME, very clean and divine I love the precision.
Wow Mallory! This blog is really great and creative. I absolutely adore the way you set it up, it looks like a lot of time and effort went into it, which really paid off. I adore the tagline you've created for this blog and the plant theme behind it. The words you used to describe yourself really show through your blog creation. Great work!.
The button up is amazing!
